Database Programming Language Whether Visual Basic 6.0 Is Still Good For Database Programming?

Whether Visual Basic 6.0 is still good for database programming? - database programming language

I am planning a database programming with ADO MS Access database with Visual Basic 6.0. But I hope this program will be used for atleast another 5 years. Do you think that the choice of Visual Basic 6.0 in the future platforms such as Windows 7 be limited ....?

Yes VB 6th has limits in the future within 5 years, Microsoft has changed the extension xlsx Access 2007, you can not connect via Visual Basic 6 to connect to. in the future not only with. NET platform with multiple languages.

Xlsx file access, not to the Excel file format MsOffice ..
mdb file is the extension of access. yup .. you're right ... Future. NET --
4th grave Net now.

Even better would be to go with Java .. is platform independent. runs freely on Linux machines.

I would like to develop a new program with the latest in DotNet.

VB6 is no longer supported by Microsoft.

VB6 support for older versions fine

No, it's better if your program is not in VB.Net, at least, is the latest version.
