What are the newest treatments for abdominal aneurysm? - abdominal aneurysm more condition_symptoms

My father said that here in Canada have an abdominal aneurysm. I'm trying to learn new procedures, the period of treatment. You may travel to the United States for private medical practices. I am also trying to understand the costs. Anyone who has been through this kind of testing, and lived to tell me that now is so popular.

Endovascular Surgery May help those who need surgery, but are at high risk for complications due to pre-existing illnesses. A national study conducted in medical centers in the United States, the endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms fewer complications than traditional surgery. The procedure causes less blood loss, less trauma to the aorta and less (or no) days in the ICU. The average recovery time is about one to two weeks, six weeks disadvantages of open surgery. Endovascular surgery for aneurysms of the abdominal aorta was of cardiac and vascular surgeons and interventional radiologists who specialize in surgery of blood vessels performed. During the procedure, a synthetic graft (stent made of a polyester tube inside a metal-made cylinder) into the end of a thin tube (catheter) is inserted into an artery inserted in his leg. To intensify in view of the progress of the probe in an X-ray monitor, the surgeon, the son of the stent-graft to the lower part of the aorta, the weakened area and prevent the interruption of the NA toAneurysm. When present, the metal structure is spreading like a feather stick firmly against the wall of the aorta, cutting blood flow to the aneurysm. The blood now flows through the stent-graft, avoiding the aneurysm. With this technique it is not necessary to make a large incision in the abdomen or to remove the damaged part of the aorta. The aneurysm is usually reduced over time. The rate of successful use of stent grafts to treat abdominal aortic aneurysms more than 95 percent increase. Although endovascular surgery reduces recovery time for a few days, is not without risk. And because the procedure is relatively new, long-term results are not known. Complications can occur with this procedure, ie blood from the corruption, such as endoleaks known. Stents are usually the best option for older patients for whom surgery poses a significant risk. Patients with aneurysms are repaired with stent-grafts for follow-up every six months back at first. However, this procedure is not for everyone. It is an effective therapy in properly selected patients. Applicationropriate procedures, whether open or endovascular repair is dependent on many factors, and most of the medical team in consultation with the patient.

The cost is obviously less in Germany than the United States. It depends on if the process is selectable (ie,), emergency surgery or emergency or of your choice. Include the surgeon is not the difference in treatment costs on average in 2000, more than $ 7000 The costs shown in the range of U.S. $ 20,000 to $ 30,000. The repair of abdominal aortic aneurysm is a costly procedure that is typically carried out in Canada and the United States. The cost of open AAA repair is significantly higher in the United States, despite the short length of stay and similar clinical outcomes. This difference is mainly due to more resources and administration in the United States. However, although treatment costs are lowest in Canada, Canadian hospitals may be less effective in STREamlining services, which will remain in hospital much longer. With the growing awareness in North America through the cost effective delivery of health care, Canada and the United States can benefit from each other strategies for reducing the cost to be found. The cost of treatment in the United States was 55% higher than in Canada.
